𝐃𝐑 𝐆𝐄𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐎𝐁 𝐃𝐄𝐒𝐂𝐑𝐈𝐁𝐄𝐃 𝐀𝐒 𝐀 𝐓𝐎𝐖𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐅𝐈𝐆𝐔𝐑𝐄, 𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐒𝐌𝐀𝐍

His Excellency Dr. Mokgweetsi Eric Keabetswe Masisi said that Botswana as a country has found it appropriate to celebrate the life of the late 3rd President of the Republic of Namibia, Dr Hage Gottfried Geingob in Botswana. In his tribute this morning, Dr Masisi described Dr Geingob as a towering figure and a leading statesman both in stature and accomplishments who bowed himself so lowly and dressed himself with unmistaken humility.

Dr Masisi said Dr Geingob was never in a hurry to outpace some of the leaders coming well after him who needed to lean and learn from him. He further said the late President Dr Geingob was a leader who would share his well-orchestrated craft of steering the presidency.

When paying his tribute, His Excellency the President of the Republic of Namibia Dr Nangolo Mbumba, deeply appreciated the gestures of consolation from Botswana because they demonstrate the solid bond of friendship that exists between the two countries. President Mbumba expressed gratitude for the generosity, kindness support provided by President Masisi and the people of Botswana.
