President Duma Gideon Boko Returns to Gaborone After Strategic International Visits

President Advocate Duma Gideon Boko has returned to Gaborone following a series of high-level working visits to Muscat, Oman; Ras Al Khaimah and Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; and Geneva, Switzerland. The trips took place between October 19 and 29, 2025, and focused on strengthening Botswana’s economic partnerships and attracting strategic investment.

During the visits, President Boko met with government officials, business leaders, and international investors to explore opportunities across key sectors including infrastructure, energy, technology, and trade. The discussions emphasized Botswana’s stable economic environment, transparent governance, and investment-friendly policies.

In Oman, the President engaged with senior officials to discuss trade agreements, joint ventures, and investment in renewable energy projects. The Ras Al Khaimah and Abu Dhabi visits focused on collaboration in finance, real estate development, and technology transfer, highlighting Botswana’s potential as a regional business hub.

In Geneva, Switzerland, President Boko participated in multilateral discussions with international organizations and development partners. These engagements aimed to position Botswana as a preferred partner for sustainable development initiatives, global trade facilitation, and capacity-building programs.

The visits are part of Botswana’s broader strategy to align its economic growth agenda with global trends and attract high-value investments that support national development priorities.
