BAHAMAS PRIME MINISTER ENGAGEMENT WITH BANK OF BOTSWANA

The Bank of Botswana Governor Mr Cornelius Dekop this morning welcomed the Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas Mr Philip E. Davis for a tour of the Bank.

Speaking at the event Mr Dekop said Bank of Botswana is grateful and committed to growing relations with the Bahamas particularly that they relate to the financial sector development and financial inclusion.

Responding to the warm welcome, the Prime Minister Mr Philip E. Davis said Africa and the Caribbean should stand united not just in shared history but in shared mission to leverage on collective skills, resources and brotherhood.

The Prime Minister Futher said Africa and the Caribbean should respond to challenges they meet by collaboration and creation of a blueprint for a future where Africa and the Caribbean will be able to harness their collective economic power to dismantle barriers and build bridges.

The Prime Minister wil be in Botswana until Saturday.
