Diamond Zebras suffers defeat but makes semis

Diamond Zebras lost to Namibia’s under 17 team earlier today in their last group stages match. In a high paced match, the local charges succumbed to a 3 nil defeat. Despite the defeat, the under 17 boys have made it through to the semifinals round of the COSAFA tournament. Namibia has been reigning in the group, they beat Seychelles 8-3 in their meet up.

Earlier in the week they garnered themselves 6 points as they defeated Mauritius and Seychelles respectively. The local team under the watch of the experienced Itumeleng Duiker is optimistic that they will emerge victorious at the ongoing tournament. The winner of the tournament will get an automatic qualification to represent the Southern African region at the 2019 Under 17 Africa Cup of all nations. We wish the boys well in their semifinal contest tomorrow.
