Fast facts about GIMC

It is only a week before the biggest music festival in the country set stage. The event has been getting night crawlers, fun lovers and revelers in jubilation over the years. Today we give you fast facts you would love to know about the festival.

• GIMC is held annually in every first week of September.
• Performers are selected from across the region, internationally and even locally.
• It showcases different talents within comedy, jazz, choral, poetry and fashion among other arts.
• Some of the proceeds from the festival are donated to charities around the country and other NGO’s.
• Its sole intention for staging is to celebrate the city of Gaborone through arts.
• Vee Mampeezy alongside local choral giants KTM Choir are the only performers to have made it in the list of performers more than others.
• It is the longest staged festival in the country, it runs for a week.
