Rollers uses Sundowns friendly to prepare for Al-Ahgly

Local football giants Township Rollers are said to be using tomorrow’s friendly match against South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns in preparation for their contest with African gladiators Al-Aghly of Egypt. The Rollers and Al-Aghly will be going head to head next week in the Egyptian’s capital of Cairo for their last 16 encounter of the the CAF club championships.

Two months ago Township Rollers placed themselves in better positions to make it into the last eight of the club tournament after they walloped Uganda’s side but fell short of a lead when they got kicked by Tunisia’s Esperance. The team will be looking to make it through to the last eight of the club tournament for the first time in the local football history. It is still yet unknown how much the club has had to spend to engage the South African side which are alleged named the richest football club in Africa. The friendly match will kick-start on Saturday at 1430hrs at the national stadium in Gaborone.
