𝐊𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐆 𝐏𝐀𝐘𝐒 𝐂𝐎𝐔𝐑𝐓𝐄𝐒𝐘 𝐂𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐎𝐍 𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐄𝐗𝐂𝐄𝐋𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐘 𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐈𝐃𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐌𝐀𝐒𝐈𝐒𝐈

Botswana’s High Commissioner to the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Ms Philda Kereng paid a courtesy call on His Excellency the President Dr. Mokgweetsi Masisi this afternoon.

His Excellency President Dr. Mokgweetsi Masisi congratulated Ms Kereng on her appointment and encouraged her to work hard and represent Botswana well. He stated that Nigeria is a home to a lot of creativity and innovation, adding that she should focus on Botswana’s priorities since we can learn a lot from them.

He said the two countries’ relations dated back to the liberation struggle era and were strengthened in 1971 when they formally established diplomatic ties.

Ms Kereng thanked the President for the opportunity and stated that she will explore opportunities that would grow Botswana’s economy and create opportunities for Batswana.
