AfreximBank Eye Fixed on Botswana Trade

His Excellency, President Dr. Mokgweetsi E. K. Masisi received the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank)’s President and Chairman of the Board of Directors Professor Bennedict Oramah at the Office of the President.

The Afreximbank is a pan African multilateral trade finance institution created in 1993 under the auspices of the African Development Bank.

The bank’s mandate is to be ‘The Trade Finance Bank for Africa’ and to stimulate the expansion and development of African trade. The Bank’s programs, instruments and services are available to large corporates, governments, financial institutions as well as other clients who fit the bank’s mandate.

Professor Oramah told the President the bank is looking for sectors to support in Botswana such as mining and the automotive industry. He is a guest speaker at the ongoing Global Expo exhibition which started today and ends on the 4th November 2022.
