The 2025 Khawa Dune Challenge & Cultural Festival came to an exhilarating conclusion yesterday with the much-anticipated Motorsport and Bikes Prize Giving Ceremony. The event, held in the heart of Khawa Village, Botswana, marked the close of one of the most thrilling and action-packed editions of the festival to date.

Throughout the weekend, riders and drivers from across Botswana and beyond showcased their skill, endurance, and passion across the unforgiving Khawa sand dunes. From quad bikes to powerful 4x4s, each race brought roaring engines, daring maneuvers, and unforgettable moments for both participants and spectators.

The prize-giving ceremony was a fitting end to the high-octane weekend. Top performers in each category were recognised for their exceptional displays of talent and determination. Trophies, medals, and cash prizes were handed out to winners in the motocross, quad bike, and 4×4 endurance categories, among others.

Festival organisers extended their heartfelt congratulations to all the winners and participants. “Your energy, courage, and sportsmanship made this event a success,” said one of the event coordinators during the ceremony. “You’ve not only entertained us but have also inspired many young aspiring riders and drivers in Botswana.”

Beyond the competitive side, the Khawa Dune Challenge & Cultural Festival once again lived up to its reputation as a unique celebration of sport, community, and culture. Thousands of visitors gathered to enjoy traditional performances, food stalls, and cultural exhibitions, all set against the backdrop of the majestic Kalahari dunes.

As the dust settles on this year’s event, excitement is already building for the 2026 edition. With growing participation each year and increasing national attention, the Khawa Dune Challenge continues to cement its place as one of Botswana’s premier motorsport and cultural gatherings.
