The Honourable Assistant Minister for State President, Ms Maipelo Mophuting, has called on police officers to serve the nation with courage and to place prayer at the forefront of the challenges they face daily. She emphasized that while police officers dedicate their time and put their lives at risk to protect citizens, they also need spiritual support to perform effectively in their duties.
Ms Mophuting highlighted that issues such as gender-based violence, drug and substance abuse, and youth unemployment are not just societal challenges but also spiritual battles that require spiritual intervention. She stressed that when police officers are spiritually strengthened, the nation as a whole would be spiritually protected.
The Assistant Minister further explained that the Police Sunday Church Service would serve as a covenant of healing and restoration for police officers, helping to mend shattered spirits and uplift morale. She encouraged officers to be prayerful, noting that through prayer they would find restoration, unity, and transformation, allowing them to thrive in their line of duty.
Ms Mophuting reiterated that the spiritual welfare of police officers is crucial. Through faith and consistent prayer, their strength would be renewed, enabling them to overcome discouragement and face challenges without failure. Her message reinforced the importance of combining courage with spiritual resilience to ensure effective service and national protection.
