BLTAD Workshop for RBBH Coaches in North West

MAUN – The Botswana National Sport Commission (BNSC) and the Botswana National Olympic Committee (BNOC) on Saturday conducted a Botswana Long-Term Athlete Development (BLTAD) workshop for Re Ba Bona Ha (RBBH) Coaches based in the North West region. The one-day workshop was intended to equip coaches at grassroots level on Botswana sport development pathway for them to continue imparting sport and life skills to young athletes under the RBBH programme.

The workshop was attended by nineteen (19) coaches from five National Sport Associations (NSAs); Athletics, Basketball, Rugby, Softball and Rugby, which have centres spread around the region in Maun, Gumare and Shakawe. BNOC Team Preparations & Athletes Welfare Officer Modise Mgadla facilitated the workshop with BNSC Projects Officer Frederick Kebadiretse.

Sport Development Officers (SDOs) and Technical Officers from the above NSAs attended the workshop. Meanwhile the coaches’ were also drilled on administration of the RBBH programme on Friday afternoon.
