The Botswana Medical Aid Society (Bomaid) will host its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Thursday, 14 August 2025, at the Avani Gaborone Resort & Casino. The event will bring together members, partners, and stakeholders to review the Fund’s 2024 performance and outline priorities for 2025.
The AGM follows a series of stakeholder engagements, including Bomaid’s staff retreat held last Friday. Customer experience emerged as the central theme, highlighting the role of all employees, from operational teams to leadership, in shaping the member journey and delivering quality care.
Bomaid Board Chair, Dr Refeletswe Lebelonyane, is expected to reaffirm the Fund’s commitment to listening to members, innovating service delivery, and strengthening partnerships that improve health outcomes. She emphasized the importance of trust and engagement, stating that the AGM provides an opportunity to collectively shape the Fund’s future.
The AGM programme will include the presentation of the 2024 Annual Integrated Report and audited financial statements, Chairperson’s and Principal Officer’s reports on performance and outlook, updates on benefit enhancements, service initiatives, and strategic priorities, approval of Trustee and Auditor appointments and remuneration, and a member Q&A session to address queries and feedback.
The AGM will also feature exhibitors from Bomaid’s partners, providing members with health information, screenings, and wellness services. These showcases reflect Bomaid’s commitment to delivering holistic value beyond standard medical aid benefits.
This year’s AGM will reinforce Bomaid’s focus on service excellence, member value, and sustainable growth. Insights from the staff retreat and prior stakeholder engagements will guide efforts to strengthen the Fund’s position as “The Medical Aid of Choice” through improved customer touchpoints and consistent delivery on member expectations.
