The Minister of Minerals and Energy, Honourable Bogolo Joy Kenewendo, officially welcomed her South African counterpart, Honourable Gwede Mantashe, Minister of Mineral and Petroleum Resources, in Botswana. The meeting focuses on strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries in the mineral resources sector.
As part of the visit, the Ministers are scheduled to tour the Diamond Trading Company Botswana (DTCB). The tour will provide insights into the company’s operations and identify potential areas for collaboration between Botswana and South Africa.
The discussions aim to explore opportunities for joint ventures, knowledge sharing, and investment in the mining and petroleum sectors. Both Ministers emphasized the importance of regional cooperation in maximizing the value of mineral resources and supporting economic growth.
