For the first time in its history, the Botswana Consumer Fair will include business-to-business (B2B) master classes aimed at enhancing the Traders Hub Forum. This new initiative, administered by the Job Creator’s Forum, targets close to 50 youth-owned enterprises participating in the Traders Hub.

Job Creator’s Forum Director Buca Matenge explained the motivation behind the program. “The idea is to see Batswana businesses growing. This will be done for free as a value add since we have partnered with Fairground Holdings to administer this,” he said.

The B2B master classes will provide practical training and mentorship to young entrepreneurs. Topics are expected to cover business development, marketing strategies, financial management, and networking techniques. These sessions aim to equip youth enterprises with skills to expand their operations, increase competitiveness, and build sustainable businesses.

The Botswana Consumer Fair is one of the country’s key platforms for showcasing local products and services. Adding the master classes strengthens the event’s role in promoting economic growth and youth empowerment.

By focusing on youth enterprises within the Traders Hub, the initiative supports Botswana’s broader goals of entrepreneurship development and job creation. The partnership between the Job Creator’s Forum and Fairground Holdings reflects a collaborative approach to boosting the country’s small business sector.

This historic move promises to provide youth entrepreneurs with new opportunities to learn, connect, and scale their businesses, contributing to Botswana’s economic diversification and long-term prosperity.
