Botswana national mens tennis seniors team has repositioned themselves well in the on-going African Nations Cup championships. The team has made it through to the last four top team finishers following Lefa Sibanda’s quaterfinal finish in the individual event that concluded yesterday. The team comprising of the leading local players namely Aobakwe Lekang, Tsholofelo Tsiang, Emmanuel Mabechu and Lefa Sibanda was however giving a straight whip by Morocco today (2-nil).
The team will be fighting off for 3rd place against Gabon tomorrow at the national tennis center. Botswana tennis has been hosting a series of tournaments for the juniors,the CAN championships are the opening seniors event. Lefa Sibanda is expected keep fighting his ground against Gabon,while Tsholofelo Tsiang will need to redeem himself after suffering a tough defeat against Morocco’s number 1 junior.
