15 year old Michelle Bogoleng was crowned at a Miss Teen Botswana pageant at Mantlwaneng theatre on Saturday. Not only did she clinch the crown but she also won the best dressed contestant in preliminary judging. The form four student at Selebi Phikwe Secondary School who hails from Serowe, would represent the country at the Miss Teen Universe billed for Nicaragua, in February next year.
She took over from Nthabiseng Lethebe.
Answering a question, prior to winning the crown, which wanted her to explain qualities that the upcoming queen should have, Michelle said she believed that being a queen was not just a title. “Being a queen comes with responsibilities. It gives you a great opportunity to be a representative, to be an inspiration to the young girls out there and a chance to stand out and show people the morals and display the good heart that one has,” she said.
This is a beauty pageant under BroadHut Events & media. It is meant to elevate selfless, talented as well as beautiful girl child. It is a franchise from Nicaragua.
