Outgoing Ambassador Of Japan Pays A Courtesy Call On The Permanent Secretary Of The Ministry Of Foreign Affairs

On 4 October 2022, the outgoing Ambassador of Japan to Botswana, His Excellency Mr. Takashi HOSHIYAMA, paid a farewell courtesy call on the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Dr. Gladys Mokhawa, upon the end of his tour of duty.

The Permanent Secretary thanked Ambassador for his dedication and contribution towards Botswana`s national development. She appreciated the active role that he played in strengthening

the relationship between Japan and the Republic of Botswana in all dimensions during his tenure. She reassured the Ambassador that closer connection will be maintained at bilateral and multilateral levels.

His Excellency Mr. Takashi HOSHIYAMA thanked the government of Botswana for all the support and assistance provided to him during his stay. He lamented the nominal people-to-people interactions due to disruptions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. He however, appreciated the accomplishments

at bilateral level and expressed optimism that the cordial support and assistance as well as the excellent relations between Botswana and Japan would continue.
