Police Acting Commissioner Commends Air Support Branch for Excellence

The Acting Commissioner of Police, Solomon Mantswe, has commended the staff of the Air Support Branch for their consistent excellence in airborne missions. The recognition came during his visit to the Branch’s offices on September 17, 2025.

During the visit, Mr Mantswe praised the officers for their professional and proficient service in Airborne Law Enforcement. He acknowledged the challenges the Branch faces, including shortages in manpower and equipment, and encouraged the staff to remain optimistic about Botswana’s economic recovery.

He also urged officers to maintain resilience, discipline, and unity, emphasizing that their work demands effective teamwork and the integration of diverse expertise.

Senior Assistant Commissioner Emmanuel Morris, Director of the Air Support Branch, welcomed the visit and expressed gratitude. He highlighted the recent establishment of a new office in the North West Division, Maun, noting that the extension will improve operational coverage and enhance service delivery.

The visit underscores the Botswana Police Service’s commitment to supporting specialized units and strengthening national law enforcement capabilities.
