President Boko Bids Farewell to Ambassador Designate Nthisana Motsete-Phillips Ahead of Geneva Posting

Ambassador Designate to Geneva, Nthisana Motsete-Phillips, today paid a courtesy call on the President of Botswana, Advocate Duma Gideon Boko, as part of official preparations for her new diplomatic assignment. She represents the very essence of our merit-based appointments—born here, raised here, educated here, and now flying our flag with honour.”

The President emphasized that Botswana’s posting in Geneva is one of the country’s most demanding and strategically important diplomatic stations. Geneva is home to several international organizations, including United Nations agencies, making it a critical platform for Botswana’s engagement on global issues such as human rights, trade, health, and development.

“She is ready. She is loyal. And she will serve this Republic with distinction,” President Boko affirmed, expressing full confidence in her abilities.
