His Excellency Sheikh Mansour Bin Jabor Bin Jassim Al Thani, a member of the ruling family of the State of Qatar, paid a courtesy call on President Duma Boko yesterday at the Office of the President in Gaborone. The visit underscored both nations’ intent to deepen diplomatic and economic ties.

President Boko welcomed Sheikh Mansour and his delegation, stressing Botswana’s commitment to building stronger partnerships with Qatar. He said Botswana values its friendship with Qatar and aims to cement strategic alliances that unlock opportunities for growth and prosperity.

The Qatari delegation is engaging with senior government officials, state-owned enterprises, and private sector leaders. Talks are focusing on infrastructure development and other critical sectors of the economy. The discussions are designed to identify projects that can advance Botswana’s development priorities while creating long-term benefits for citizens.

President Boko highlighted the importance of this engagement, calling it the beginning of a transformative journey. He noted that collaboration with Qatar will support projects aligned with Botswana’s vision for sustainable growth and national development.
