Vacancy- Network Engineer Wanted At Kamoso Distribution
Kamoso Distribution, a diversified consumer retailer and manufacturer/distributor, operating primarily in Botswana, is looking to recruit for the below position:
NETWORK ENGINEER
Responsibilities
β’ Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS, VOIP, ..)
β’ Perform network maintenance and system upgrades
β’ Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability
β’ Monitor network utilization, trending, and capacity planning
β’ Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues
β’ Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the companyβs security team
β’ Should be able to provide technical support to users/clients remotely and onsite.
β’ Will have to work on sites with copper and fiber installations, and data services (eg. ADSL, fttx, wireless, 3g, ..)
Requirements
β’ Diploma in IT or relevant industry network specific certifications
β’ Proven experience and success with LAN, WAN and WLAN design and implementation
β’ Proven experience with network capacity planning, network security principles, and general network management best practices
β’ Proven hands-on network engineering experience
β’ Deep understanding of networking protocols
β’ Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools
β’ Networking troubleshooting experience
β’ Able to conduct research into networking issues and products as required
β’ Strong customer service orientation, and experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
β’ Drivers License is an added advantage
