The Botswana Police VI Volleyball Club Men’s Team has clinched the 2024/2025 Botswana Volleyball National League title, completing one of the most dominant seasons in recent history. Affectionately known as Ditau, the team stormed through the league undefeated, winning all 24 of their matches and conceding just 11 sets in total.
Their outstanding performance secured them the championship with three games to spare, underlining their superiority and consistency throughout the season. The men’s team showcased exceptional teamwork, tactical discipline, and resilience, becoming a benchmark for excellence in Botswana volleyball.
“This has been a season to remember. The players gave everything in training and on the court. We’re proud of this achievement and the legacy we’re building,” said a team official following their title-clinching win.
Ditau’s dominance has not only earned them the top spot but has also reignited interest and excitement around volleyball in Botswana. Their flawless campaign sets a high bar for future seasons and reinforces the club’s status as a powerhouse in the sport.
Meanwhile, the Botswana Police VI Volleyball Ladies Team, known as Ditaugadi, also had a strong season of their own. The team finished as runners-up in the women’s league, narrowly missing out on the championship after a competitive final stretch. They were edged out by rivals BDF VI on the last day of the season in a tightly contested title race.
Despite falling short of the top spot, Ditaugadi’s performance remained impressive, demonstrating the depth and strength of the Police VI Volleyball Club as a whole. Their runner-up finish is a testament to the skill and determination within the squad, and they are expected to be strong contenders again in future seasons.
With one team crowned national champions and the other finishing just behind, the Botswana Police VI Volleyball Club continues to cement its place at the forefront of the sport. As the volleyball community reflects on the 2024/25 season, the name Ditau will be remembered as the embodiment of sporting excellence.
