Minister Rakgare Graces Charity Association Of Chinese in Botswana (CACB) Donation And Prize Giving Ceremony

Concluding the CACB golf tournament that was held to champion Charity work was a prize giving ceremony following a two year hiatus. The CACB golf tournament is an annual event held to raise funds for charity work.

Charity Association of Chinese in Botswana Chairman Mr Miles Nan, explained that the association marks its 10 year existence this year. It was established for one common goal, that is to assist government improve life’s within the community.

Addressing the golfers Minister Rakgare said, It is indeed heart warming that during hard times like now, when most people barely have enough to keep the lights on, CACB found it fit to remember the unprivileged.

Minister reiterated his delight that golfers turned out in numbers, with respective sponsors to gather in one accord, play and socialize while raising funds for the less privileged.

Hon Minister highlighted that Government of Botswana through the adopt a school initiative and presidential housing appeal has challenged Batswana to support noble initiatives. Hence thankful of the Chinese community’s act to assist the government.

The donation from the tournament proceedings will be in a form of clothes, shoes and sanitizers which will be given to schools yet to be identified.

Golfers who emerged winners of the tournament were also duly rewarded with prizes.
