Ministry of Entrepreneurship would like to caution members of the public on fake accounts
The Ministry of Entrepreneurship would like to caution members of the public on the recent cases of fake LinkedIn profile claiming to be that of Minister of Entrepreneurship, Hon. Karabo Socraat Gare.
The account has numerous misleading posts which claim that the Honourable Minister is involved in facilitating investments and job opportunities.
The Ministry would like to inform the public that the said LinkedIn account bearing Hon. Ministerβs photo, his name, E-mail address and the name of the Ministry, purported to be of the Minister of Entrepreneurship is fake.
The Ministry of Entrepreneurship also wishes to state that Honourable Minister is not engaged in the facilitation of the purported investment and job opportunities.
The Botswana Police Service is currently investigating the matter.
Members of the Public are advised to report to the nearest Police Station anyone who interacts with them through those fake accounts and suspected cases of impersonation should also be reported.
