Re-opening of public schools from mid term break

The Ministry of Education and Skills Development wishes to inform learners, parents and relevant stakeholders that public schools will close for mid-term break from today, Friday 8th July and re-open on the 21st July 2022. Learners in boarding schools are therefore expected to report back to school on the 20th July 2022.
This follows the declaration of the 19th July 2022 as a public holiday as per Government Notice No. 263 of 2022. This adjustment is put in place to avoid challenges of public transport congestion and to ensure the safe arrival of all students and staff.
