enforcement agencies regarding investigations into the circumstances that led to

The public is, however, implored to disregard ongoing disparaging social media
narratives which go against the values and norms that
have set Botswana apart
as a democracy over the years. Batswana should, therefore, be rest assured that
the Government will ensure that investigations are conducted and brought to their
logical conclusion..

It is regrettable that while the nation is awaiting the conclusion of investigations
into this unfortunate event, some people with divisive motives are taking every
opportunity to use this matter to sow social discord through unsubstantiated
conspiracies.

Information circulating on social media that seek to frustrate the painstaking
efforts to bring this sensitive matter to finality, within the remit of the law.
