Bostwana and Rwanda conclude a memorandum of understanding on Agricultural and livestock development

On the side lines of the recently ended 41st Session of the Executive Council of the African Union, Honourable Dr. Lemogang Kwape met with Dr. Vincent Biruta, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Rwanda. The two Ministers signed a Memorandum of Understanding between Botswana and Rwanda on Agricultural and Livestock Development.
Among many of the envisaged areas of cooperation within the MOU are Trade in livestock vaccines; Crop, livestock production and feed development; Dairy, aquaculture and apiculture development. Botswana, through the Botswana Vaccine Institute is renowned in Vaccine development and production, currently producing OIE certified vaccines and exporting to over 15 African countries.
