On 11th August 2022, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Honourable Dr. Lemogang Kwape, received the Country Director of Peace Corps Botswana, Ms. Danielle Monty-Mara. In his remarks, Dr. Kwape congratulated Ms. Danielle Monty-Mara on her appointment and noted with appreciation the substantive contributions that the Peace Corps has made in Botswana over the years. Over 2,500 Peace Corps Volunteers have served in Botswana in the past five decades. Currently, the Peace Corps is playing an instrumental role in supporting the national response to HIV/AIDS. The Volunteers work closely with civil society groups, health facilities and local government office in Botswana.
