Kagiso Tshelametsi Retires From Football!

FC Satmos’ veteran and former national team goalkeeper Kagiso Tshelametsi has reportedly finally hung up his boots as the 2015/16 campaign approaches its climax.Β The 35 year old former Botswana international shot-stopper has been active for almost 18 years and he has now decided to call it quits from a career well played.

Tshelametsi, who turns 36 in July this year, has done a lot for this country where football is concerned. He has featured for the likes of Mogoditshane Fighters, Notwane, Mochudi Centre Chiefs and Gaborone United in the Botswana Premier League (BPL) during his football career. He has also represented us internationally only missing out from on representing the Zebras at the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Equatorial Guinea and Gabon because of an injury.

“Football will always remain part of ma life,only death will come in between us. To all my extended family and friends, football people all over BotswanaΒ thank you for being with me from the day I started being known as a soccer athlete and to you all my school, club and Β national team mates, coaches, team managers, medical doctors, you as well as those whom I played against, ” he wrote on his Facebook account.
