Orapa United Claim Their First Mascom Top 8 Title
The Ostriches stunned Township Rollers 3-1 after extra-time to lift their maiden Top 8 Cup at the Francistown Sports Complex in Francistown the past Saturday night. They were the under dogs of the final, as they were up against a big team which is also leading the premier league. Township Rollers were the firs on the scoreboard, an Orapa came back with and equalizer from their topΒ striker, RonaldΒ Β Chikomo, which saw the match going on extra time.
The Ostriches were on fire in the 2nd half and netted 2 more goal, putting the champions dream for Rollers far-fetched. Orapa head coach Madinda Ndlovu dedicated their 2015/16 Mascom Top 8 Cup glory to the team’s management and supporters.
