Vice President Slumber Tsogwane officiates at the desert bush walk

His Honour the Vice President Mr Slumber Tsogwane said the Desert Bush Walk is not only based on promoting health but is also an empowerment tool for the community. Vice President Tsogwane said this when officiating at the Annual Desert Bush Walk held in Jwaneng this morning.
He said it is through this walk that the organisers managed to donate up to P2 Million toward various community projects which include among others the construction of a Creative Learning Centre at Sese Primary School, a Resource Centre, Teaching aid materials, donation of computers and construction of a reception classroom.
“This walk also contributes to the tourism industry as most hotels are fully booked during this time and camping sites are set to extend the much needed accomodation. Suppliers and service providers in the area are also given the opportunity to provide food and entertainment among others,” Vice President Tsogwane said.
The Desert Bush Walk attracted more than 3000 walkers from different countries like Lesotho, South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe, East and West Africa, Australia and Germany.
