The inaugural Ministerial Session of the Botswana–Lesotho Bi-National Commission convened at the Gaborone International Convention Centre, setting a strong foundation for closer cooperation between the two countries. The session was co-chaired by Botswana’s Minister of International Relations Phenyo Butale and Lesotho’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Relations Limpho Tau. Both leaders emphasised the importance of strengthening bilateral ties in a way that responds to global economic pressures and regional challenges. The gathering reflected a renewed commitment by both Botswana and Lesotho to build a more coordinated and resilient partnership.
