Kgosi Leretetse Mogalakwe at the Commemoration of the 10th annual national community policing cluster awards ceremony

Kgosi Leretetse Mogalakwe did welcome the attendees according to the national protocol; the attendees were the Honourable Minister for Defence and Security Mr Thomas kagiso Mmusi, Member of Parliament – Maun West Honourable Dumelang Saleshando, Member of Parliament – Maun East Honourable Goretetse Kekgonegile, Secretary for Safety and Security Mr. Kago Ramokate, Acting Commissioner of Police Mr. Solomon Mantswe, Dikgosi, Senior Government Officials and the Community at large.

Member of Parliament for Maun East Honourable Goretetse Kekgonegile gave an appreciative and feedback giving vote of thanks. One of his community plea was to develop the ‘Kgomo khumo Initiative’ to an official unit within the Botswana Police Service as it bears fruits and it is still needed to address the stock theft problem within the community. He did applaud the Botswana Police Service for their determination on good service delivery though they face lack of resources to facilitate their services. In closing, he thanked all for attending and did appreciate the role of Community Policing in Botswana.
