False News Surfacing around the media about PSP Ms Emma Peloetletse

The Office of the President wishes to dismiss categorically a false article carried by
The Patriot on Sunday newspaper of September 04, 2022 headlined: “Peloetletse
attacks Khama”.

The article alleges that the Permanent Secretary to the President (PSP), Ms Emma
Peloetletse attacked former President Lt. General Seretse Khama Ian Khama
during her meeting with public servants recently. The author also alleges that the
PSP used the opportunity to lampoon the policies of the Khama administration.
The fact of the matter is that PSP never attacked the former President nor give

reference to his administration during her meetings with the public servants. The
PSP’s address to the public servants mainly focused on the following issues:
a) rationalization of ministerial portfolios as pronounced by His Excellency the
President;
) The Reset and Reclaim Agenda;
c) Public Service Delivery, including Project Implementation;

d) New laws, namely: Public Procurement Act; Economic Inclusion Act and the
Tribal Land Act;
e) Receive feedback from employees on their conditions of service.
All the quotations attributed to the PSP in the newspaper are false, misleading and
intended to cause disharmony and fuel disturbances in the country.
