Public Service Employees Encouraged To Support Batswana

The Permanent Secretary to the President (PSP) Ms. Emmah Peloetletse has asked public sevice employees to support Batswana and help grow Batswana businesses by giving priority to citizen owned companies.

Speaking during a meeting with the Kgalagadi District Heads of Departments this morning in Tsabong, Ms Peloetletse said that it is important for Government to give tenders to citizen owned companies as it will help grow Batswana’s business adding that they should not belittle or undermine products made in Botswana.

She urged the public servants to take their work seriously, to be ambasaddors of their departments and represent them well. She further encouraged them to hold on to culture and practise the spirit of Botho and Tlotlo.

Ms Peloetletse also addressed public service employees on the complaints that citizens and residents have on the service offered and asked them to improve on delivery of service and customer service.

Public service employees also briefed PSP and her entourage on the challenges they have in the districts.

Ms Peloetletse started her tour of the Kgalagadi District with a courtesy visit on Kgosi Toto of Tsabong. The courtsey visit accorded Kgosi Toto an opportunity to brief the PSP and her entourage on the challenges faced by the District. Ms Peloetletse concluded her visit with tour of the Mini Stadium and Multi Species Abbatoir projects.
