Vacancy- Asset Management Coordinator Wanted At Morupule Coal Mine

To manage, coordinate and control engineering activities and provide technical support.

• Analyses the section’s financial needs to develop a budget and ensure sufficient financial resources to meet business needs.
• Manages and controls allocated funds and operates within approved parameters.
• Interprets the sectional requirements to develop and schedule short term action plans to meet set objectives
• Reviews maintenance practices with a view of improving availability of equipment
• Coordinates the implementation of short-term plans in line with service level commitments, Mine and statutory requirements.
• Manages and coordinates the implementation of safety, health and environmental programme in area of responsibility
• Ensures that employees are selected, deployed, trained, evaluated and rewarded in compliance with existing employee management systems.
• Establishes and maintains effective relationships with all key stakeholders and partners to ensure achievement of business objectives.
• Identifies business risk and manages implementation thereof and adherence to legal and corporate governance principles/requirements.
• Initiates and coordinates the implementation of projects in accordance with project management framework.
• Ensures legal compliance in area of responsibility
• Defines and monitors operational process parameters in line with process engineering standards and guidelines.

• 4 years recognised apprenticeship
• post qualification experience in the mining industry including 3 years in a project or contractor management position.
• Experience in maintenance management of underground coal mining equipment (Continuous Miners, Shuttle
• Cars, Roof Bolters, Feeder Breakers, Load Haul Dumps,
• Tractors, Stone Dusters)
• Training in maintenance of flameproof equipment and gas testing
• Knowledge of ONKEY 5 CMMS
• Knowledge and management of equipment life cycle activities
• Post graduate qualification in Project Management e.g.
• PMP, Prince II etc.
• Must be a member of the Engineering Registration Board.
• Knowledge of SHE and Asset management systems (ISO
• 14001, OHSAS 18001 & ISO 55000)
