This strategic proposition in our view, requires a comprehensive digital transformation, from the way we Live, Work, and Learn, to deliver a smart, sustainable society aligned with our National Vision of transforming the nation from an upper-middle-income to high-income country by the year 2036.

It is in that context, that we have made meaningful efforts to not only present projects and propositions to potential investors for consideration. But to also keep a constant eye on all our processes and procedures as well as the regulatory framework for Doing Business in Botswana.

The Government of Botswana has thus remained steadfast in its endeavour to continuously monitor, evaluate and improve the ease-of-doing-business environment, as well as the global competitiveness rankings. We have consistently ranked in the Top 10 Best Countries in Africa in Doing Business and Global Competitiveness. Through our revised National Doing Business Road Map, Botswana is currently drafting an Investment Facilitation Law with support from the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD). This is part of our broader commitment to streamline business-related procedures and remove bureaucratic impediments.
