πŸ•ππ‘ 𝐆lobal 𝐍ational 𝐀daptation 𝐏lan (𝐍𝐀𝐏) in 𝐆aborone

His Excellency President Mokgweetsi E. K. Masisi attends the 7th Global National Adaptation Plan(NAP) hosted by Botswana through the Ministry of Environment and Tourism. This is in collaboration with the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).

The objectives of the Expo are:

β€’ To update stakeholders on the latest guidance on the technical and financial aspects to advance the formulation and implementation of NAPs

β€’ To discuss country experiences, best practices, lessons learned, gaps and needs and information on support provided and received in relation to the process to formulate and implement NAPs

β€’ To offer a platform for countries to interact with the climate change mechanisms such as; Green Climate Fund (GCF), Global Environment Facility (GEF) and others providing support for NAPs, as a means to improve access to financing for NAPs

The NAP Global Expo is beneficial because it avails an opportunity for Batswana to interact with climate change experts; through the sharing of experience, and knowledge exchange on how to best deal with climate change.
