Senior Political Officers Dragged Into Seretse’s Money Laundering Case

Some shocking revelations were made yesterday in court when the investigating officer in the Bakang Seretse and co-accussed revealed that some members of the parliament including President Khama, his vice Mokgweetsi Masisi,ministers Thapelo Olopeng and Sadique Kebonang, the Botswana Democratic Party and Director of DIS Isaac Kgosi have all benefited from the P250 million taken from National Petroleum Fund.

According to the Investigating Officer, Vice President Masisi received P3 million, the BDP received P2 million, Kgosi P118 million while Kebonang owns a property in South Africa from some of the money from the fund.

The accused’s lawyer, Kgosi Ngakaagae further stated that president Khama took the money to buy a caravan and youth minister Olopeng received P70 000.

Seretse who has since resigned and removed as shareholder of Kgori Capital has long vowed that he wouldn’t go down in all these fraud and money laundering cases he is facing.
