President Khama To Declare A Public In Honour Of Isaac Makwala
President Seretse Khama Ian Khama has announced earlier that among other incentives they often offer to the athletes that represented the country well, Isaac Makwala will be honoured with a public holiday. Now that’s a huge one!
President Khama said that he will if he can fit the holiday around independence, that is in the month of September. He said what Makwala did under the circumstances he was in is something big that cannot go unnoticed. He persevered after he was disqualified from the competitions for having some highly contagious novovirus which he claimed he did not.
He was eventually taken back to the field and had to run solo and finish under 20:53, but 20:53 for who, he finished his 200m at 20:20 and then did some push ups to celebrate his victory and show that he is indeed a very fit man.
Makwala has outshone Usain Bolt,Β seasonβs best of 19.77 secs leads the rankings.
