Quavo Wants To See The Migos Cast In Disney’s ‘Lion King’ Remake

Disney is enlisting a superstar cast for the launch of The Lion King remake, which will be hitting theaters during the summer of 2019. Beyoncé and Donald Glover are on board after accepting roles as Nala and Simba, respectively. Quavo is now campaigning for the Migosto become a late addition to the original 1994 animated film.

Early Sunday (Nov. 5) morning, Quavotweeted at Disney asking them to pick up the phone in an effort to get involved with the production saying, “3 Hyenas Lions King call us @Disney.” The 26-year-old also re-tweeted Disney’s original tweet announcing the cast shortly after.

The internet was sent into a frenzy hours later, campaigning for the hip-hop trio to take on the role of Scar’s villainous sidekicks, (Shenzi, Azizi, Kamari) whose casting has instead fallen to Florence KasumbaEric André, andKeegan-Michael Key. In the original 1994 version, the Hyenas were voiced by the legendary Whoopi Goldberg and Jim Cunnings.

On the music end, Migos released their first single in preparation of Culture II with the Nicki Minaj and Cardi B assisted, “Motor Sport.” Check out Quavo’s tweets below.
